Empresa científica: Consultores estratégicos que nunca pensaste utilizar
Description
How could Newton’s laws be applied to companies’ competitive strategies? What would Pythagoras say about productivity and customer satisfaction if he were to rise from the dead? What advice would Mendeleev offer for successful innovation? Could Mendel’s laws of genetics help with leadership? Can change management be handled like an electrical circuit?
“Scientific Business” delves into the professional management of companies, making original and coherent connections between mathematical equations and the laws of physics, chemistry, and biology with key business topics such as innovation, leadership, negotiation, integrated communication, effective advertising, cost management, profitable competition, change management, value creation, and business inertia. As you read this book, you will revisit the thoughts of famous scientists like Newton, Pythagoras, Gauss, Ohm, Kepler, and Mendel, and become familiar with their contributions to fundamental scientific laws.
The authors have drawn from their academic background and their experience as executives to pedagogically extrapolate several scientific principles to business management. For example, Newton’s third law of action and reaction scientifically explains the absurdity of starting price wars and their catastrophic consequences. Whether you have just completed your studies and are entering the workforce with aspirations to become a great manager, specialize in a specific area of a company and wish to understand its broader workings, or simply want to reflect on management topics discussed in the book, you will find enjoyment and learning through real-life experiences shared—sometimes lived—by the authors.
