Imge Kaya Sabanci is a researcher and PhD candidate at IE Business School. Her research interests span across the areas of entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurs, networks and trust, social entrepreneurship, and informal economy. She is particularly interested in analyzing entrepreneurial practices from a policy implication and gender perspective.

She is also an international expert on women’s economic empowerment, gender and development, and entrepreneurship. She managed international women entrepreneurship and development programs in several regions at Ernst & Young and Goldman Sachs. Before that, she held various communications and marketing executive occupations. She teaches “Business Plan Presentation and Presentation Skills” to undergraduate students every semester at Ozyegin University.

Imge Kaya Sabanci have in-depth expertise about designing and managing international development and education programs, women entrepreneurship, and its contributions to gender equality. She has advisory roles and partnerships with social policy makers, international organizations, private sector, NGOs, and universities. Currently, she is an advisory board member of Citi Group’s Microentrepreneurship Awards and a mentor of EBRD’s “Women in Business Programme”. She has been supporting World Bank's “Solutions 4 Youth Employment Global Coalition” since the beginning of the program and she delivered a speech representing the civil society at the World Bank & IMF 2014 Annual Meetings in a special session on launching “Solutions for Youth Employment Global Coalition” in Washington, DC.

RichTopia has listed her as one of “The 250 Most Influential Women Leaders” in the World since November 2015, and in March 2016, Digital Age Magazine of the Capital Group named her in the “Inspiring 30” list of Turkish women leaders inspiring and shaping the digital world.
